This is the first year I have studied adders and lizards seriously. I always knew they were there but it’s not until you find them that you realise how beautiful they are. I have been lucky enough to have several experts show me where to look and explain what I am seeing. This is really essential especially when you are searching for adders. Understandably most of these sites are kept confidential to protect both the creatures themselves and visitors.
