In 2010 the BBC published my photograph of the drift overhanging Wigley Cutting:
Following the recent bad weather I have been back to see how it looks now.
Here is the view from around the same spot this morning:
Perhaps the drift is a little bit more precarious this time round. The sun is obviously stronger in March than it was in January 2010 and this may account for the moulded shapes:
It’s more like a sea of meringue than a snow drift with its curves and frozen waves.
